But, in the same breath, did the Left government in West Bengal in its 37 years bring any legislation comparable to the Lok Ayuktha of Karnataka? Or, did the left calitions in Kerala in any of its three 5-year stints since. Of course, we do have all respect to Comrade Achytanandan for his crusade on corruption, not sparing Karunakaran, Balakrishna Pillai or even Comrade Pinaraye Vijayan.
